Frequently asked questions

Why copper?

Copper provides a rich Southwest look and affordable alternative while silver prices are high. It is strong yet flexible and well-suited for adjustable rings and cuffs. Many wearers believe copper may support circulation or ease everyday stiffness. Studies show mixed results, but many users report personal comfort benefits.

Will my skin turn green?

It doesn't happen to everyone. If it does, it is a natural reaction with moisture or skin pH. A thin coat of Everclear or clear nail polish helps

Are they real stones?

There are a variety of "stones" that are common in southwestern jewelry. Often even natural turquoise is stabilized. Composite stones are now popular; these are where stone fragments are compressed together and sometimes dyed to create beautiful and durable stones. Our natural turquoise stones include Hubei, Kingman, Tibetan, and other turquoise. Composite turquoise stones include Mojave and dahlia of varying colors. We also have pieces displaying white buffalo, wild horse, and spiny oyster which occur naturally but are not considered turquoise.

How do you clean it?

Polish with a soft cloth or brighten with Goddard's cleaner or lemon and baking soda. Keep it bright or let the natural patina add character.

Do you make the jewelry yourself?

No. We curate each piece of copper jewelry individually to ensure quality, attractive stones, and affordable pricing. Our supplier is reliable and we are always happy with the products.
